In October of 2023 my wife Gina found a story I had written a few years back, tucked away in some box in our storage unit. After she read it she said this would be a good premise for your next album. Over the next five months my newest release "Oceanova" was realized.
The story is based on an actual Greek myth which I expanded on and it became a new age love story fairy tale. I hope you enjoy this music as much as I had composing it. Richard
Oceanova is a tale of a young man who, with angelic help, overcomes harsh challenges and finds
hope for a brighter future. It’s also a story told not with words but with amazing music, a rare
feat only a gifted composer like Richard Theisen can bring to fruition. Weaving a brilliant
tapestry of memorable melodies and flowing soundscapes, he takes the listener on a unique
emotional journey. This collection of instrumental gems is a special one that deserves to be set
on “repeat.” It’s an impressive debut, indeed.
